‘Schedule of ‘Afghanistan tour of West Indies’ has been announced. The tour will start on 2nd June. Afghanistan’s cricket team is all set to play three one-day international (ODI) matches and three T20 matches against West Indies in June month of this year. Last match of this tour will be played on 14th June.
First T20 match is scheduled on 20th June. The fastest format of cricket will be held at Warner Park in St Kitts. After the three Twenty-20 matches, the three ODI matches will be played at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia. The first ODI is scheduled to played on 9th June and the third ODI match will be held on 14th June.
According to the original schedules, these two teams were going to play five ODI matches. But the two 50-over matches have been cancelled. No reason for the same been announced by the cricket governing bodies in Afghanistan and West Indies. Presently, Pakistan is touring West Indies and is going to play four T20s, three ODIs and three Test matches. In first T20 match held on 26th March, Pakistan won the game by 6 wickets.
