Dale Steyn to play for Jamaica Tallawah in CPL 2016

South African fast bowler Dale Steyn is slated for his Caribbean Premier League debut through Jamaica Tallawah team. He will be replacing dangerous Lasith Malinga, who is recuperating from a knee trauma. Steyn ranks sixth in the list of South African players who signed the CPL for its third season. There are some extraordinary, top most players signed up across all six teams.

He said that he was looking forward to playing against some of his great friends and team-mates, among them Hashim Amla, AB (de Villiers), Faf (du Plessis), David Miller and Morne (Morkel) this summer. Cricket lovers across the globe will be feasted with bitter confrontations in this tournament.

Former SRH seamer opined that he has seen CPL grow over the last few years and it has been always a great experience playing in the Caribbean. He praised crowds and the atmosphere by saying that the are always special and the fans really get behind their favorite team.

Five wicket taker in the match against ICC WC 2011 hosts has been present in the Caribbean islands since 3rd June, with South Africa, Australia and West Indies scheduled to play an ODI Tri Nation series. Though his team got kicked out of the competition, players will strive hard to avenge the defeat by peaking their performances’ level.
