In the 35th match of ongoing Indian Premier League tournament, Gujarat Lions (GL) scored 153 runs in 20 overs. The opponent team Mumbai Indians (MI) has to chase this target in order to win the game. The match is important for GL, who needs victory in this match to see an increment in its rank in IPL 2017 points table. MI has maintained its position stronger in the same chart with victories in six matches.
After winning the toss, GL skipper Suresh Raina decided to bat first. While commencing the inning, opener batsman Brendon McCullum and Ishan Kishan entered into the field. Ishan managed to settle down on the crease by hitting proper shots. McCullum lost his wicket in the early stage of the game. Team’s captain Suresh Raina too was sent back to pavilion in the same period.

Both Finch and Karthik failed to perform well in this match. Ravindra Jadeja was the man who batted next after the wickets of Aron and Dinesh. Ishan Kishan scored 48 runs in 35 balls.
Ravindra Jadeja scored 28 runs in 21 balls. James Faulkner accompanied the left handed batsman and scored 21 runs in 27 balls. After the fall of their wickets, Irfan Pathan batted next. The left handed bowler couldn’t score huge runs and lost his wicket after making 2 runs in 3 balls. Andrew Tye, the batsman in lower order of batting lineup, hit 25 run sin 12 balls. The team ended up scoring 153 runs in 20 overs with the loss of nine wickets.
