Gujarat Lion’s all rounder player Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of IPL 2017. The right handed batsman, who is also a medium-fast bowler of West Indies, won’t be able to play all matches in ongoing Indian Premier League cricket tournament. Bravo’s absence is a major loss for the team, which is already at bottom in IPL 2017 points table.
Keshav Bansal, who is the owner of Gujarat Lions team, confirmed this on Twitter on 23rd April. Bansal tweeted, “Going to miss this Champion! Unfortunately he has been ruled out this season due to injury! I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery!” and shared a picture of him with Dwayne Bravo. This will be the first time for Bravo to miss the entire season of IPL.

The cricketer had revealed through a video shared on social media that he will be returning to this league after the physical treatment. He had guaranteed that he will be seen performing in this edition of Indian Premier League after first two matches. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to fulfill his promise to his fans and will be undergoing the medical treatment.
Bravo suffered a serious injury to his hamstring in December last year while playing the Big Bash League in Australia. After receiving a serious trauma in that cricket tournament, the former CSK cricketer has not played a single competitive match. He was expected to play some matches in this season of IPL, but he is not going to play a single match of IPL due to hamstring injury.
