The 21st match of ongoing Indian Premier League tournament has been won by Sunrisers Hyderabad team. SRH defeated Delhi Daredevils by 15 runs and achieved second rank in IPL 2017 points table with its fourth victory in this series of fastest format of cricket matches. SRH has won four matches out of six games and has scored 8 points with a net run rate of +0.587.

After winning the toss, David Warner led team elected to bat first. The team had a decent opening as the skipper lost his wicket in the early stage of the game. Another opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson played vital innings to set up a strong base for the team’s overall score. Shikhar scored 70 runs in 50 balls and Kane scored 89 runs in 51 balls.

After the wickets of these two monstrous hitters, Yuvraj Singh was the man to bat next and was assisted by Moises Henriques. The left handed Indian batsman couldn’t make a major contribution in setting up the huge target as he scored just 3 runs in 4 balls. The team ended up scoring a mighty target of 191 runs in 20 overs and lost four wickets while building the score.

Delhi Daredevils team had a good start to their batting inning. Opener batsman Sanju Samson played a pivotal role in forming a good base for team’s total score and contributed with 42 runs in the overall runs scored by the team. Sam Billings scored 13 runs while Karun Nair made 33 runs in 23 balls. Wicket keeper Rishabh Pant didn’t manage to score a single run during the batting inning of Delhi Daredevils.

Shreyas Iyer and Angelo Mathews endeavoured to make their team win the game. But the runs scored by Shreyas and Angelo weren’t quite enough for the team to surmount the game. Shreyas scored 50 runs in 31 balls and Angelo played an inning of 31 runs in 23 balls. DD could score 176 runs in 20 overs and lost five wickets while chasing the huge target. Thus, SRH won the game by 15 runs.
