In the ongoing 32nd match of Indian Premier League, Delhi Daredevils (DD) scored 160 runs in 20 overs. The match is being played against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The team KKR needs to score 161 runs to win this match, which is being played at Eden Gardens stadium located in Kolkata.
While batting first, Zahir Khan led team set up a target of 161 runs for the opponent team. Team DD lost six wickets while scoring those runs in 20 overs. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first. Opener batsman Karun Nair scored 15 runs in 17 balls and lost his wicket in early stage of the game. Another opener batsman Sanju Samson managed to settle down on the crease.
After Karun’s dismissal, Shreyas Iyer came to bat next. Samson and Iyer contributed majorly in scoring maximum runs for the team. Samson hit 60 runs in 38 balls while Iyer scored 47 runs in 34 balls. After the fall of their wickets, next batsmen Rishabh Pant and Chris Morris didn’t make a vital contribution in adding huge runs to team’s total score.
Wicket-keeper-batsman Pant scored 6 runs in 4 balls and Morris hit 11 runs in 10 balls. After the dismissal of Pant and Morris, next player Corey Anderson could not score maximum runs. Anderson lost his wicket after scoring 2 runs in 5 balls. With the smaller contribution made by batsmen in lower order of the batting lineup, team DD ended up scoring 160 runs in 20 overs.
