Pakistan Cricket Board is probably planning to include more teams in Pakistan Super League’s second edition which will be held in 2017. Board has also mentioned that new big faces will be seen performing in those teams which are gonna be freshly introduced.
First season of this most famous cricket league in Islamic country was initiated in February 2016. Total five teams confronted in this domestic cricket league which commenced on 4th day of the month mentioned in previous line and UAE was the hosting country.
Lead chairman Najam Sethi on 20th April 2016 aired that PCB had confabulated with Emirates Cricket Board over the conduction of next season of this tournament with acme repercussion for year 2017. Possibly, sixth fresh squad will be included in this upcoming contention.
Sportsmen from eleven different countries had been selected for forming the squads of those earlier five teams. Similarly for this new season too the franchises will go for sixth one in which more star players will be opportuned to exhibit their cricketing talent in its fastest format.
First season of this new introduction was won by Islamabad United. Umar Akmal scored highest 335 runs and Andre Russell picked up maximum 16 wickets. Dwayne Smith 73 runs in 51 balls and Brad Haddin 61 runs in 39 balls helped Islamabad United to win the match easily by six wickets.
