In the 33rd match of ongoing Indian Premier League tournament, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batted first and scored 207 runs in 20 overs with the loss of three wickets. Bowlers of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) didn’t succeed in taking maximum wickets to hinder the opponent team’s efforts of scoring huge runs in this match, which is being played at Punjab Cricket Association stadium located in Mohali.
After winning the toss, KXIP opted to bowl first. The decision of inviting the rival team to bat first was proven false by the opener batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. The pair of left handed batsmen commenced their batting inning by playing big shots. Skipper David Warner scored 51 runs in 27 balls. The Australian cricketer smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes to score those runs.
On other side, Shikhar Dhawan too played a good knock to help is team in scoring huge runs. The left handed Indian batsman hit 9 fours and 1 six to score 77 runs in 48 balls. After the wicket of Warner and Shikhar, New Zealand’s cricketer Kane Williamson played significant role in hiking the team’s overall score. Williamson hit 4 fours and 2 sixes to score 54 runs in 27 balls.
After the fall of Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket, Yuvraj Singh was the man who accompanied Kane Williamson. Yuvraj scored 15 runs in 12 balls. He hit 2 fours to score those runs. Singh didn’t succeed in scoring more runs and lost his wicket in 18th over. Williamson remained not out till the end of SRH’s batting inning. The team ended up scoring 207 runs in 20 overs.
